Patients created their own characters out of brown paper bags, colored papers and crayons. They made kings, rock stars, superheroes, and princesses!

Children enjoy arts and crafts more than most other educational exercises, and crafts give children the opportunity to express themselves creatively.

These kids have turned something as ordinary as a brown paper bag into colorful charming puppets that gave us an insight of who they are.
Do this activity with your kids/students! Materials needed are:
  1. Brown paper bag
  2. Colored paper/art paper
  3. glue
  4. scissors
  5. crayons/markers
  6. googly eyes
  7. yarn
  8. other scraps that can be found at home like buttons, fabric scraps, printed paper/stationary, bottle caps, etc.

The bottom flap of the paper bag will serve as the puppet’s head, the rest is the puppet’s body. You can cut up additional pieces of brown paper to attach on the sides of the bag for the puppet’s hands. The sky is the limit for this craft activity.

We’d love to see what you’ve done! Email us pictures at layagforthearts@gmail.com!
